So frustrating!

I really don't understand things at the moment. I feel my swing mechanics are as good as they have ever been, hence the lovely draw I am getting with all of the long clubs and an increase in distance (about 10 yards per club). This is really strange as up until recently I could'nt hit a thing, I'M NOT COMPLAINING THOUGH! The only thing that is really bugging me however are my 70-120 yard approach shots! I cannot hit it straight - pulls and pushes. Every time I have one of these shots I end up mucking it up and most of the time it ends up costing me a shot or more! I reckon it's costing me 6 - 8 shots a round in total. Any ideas? I think I may be trying to guide the shot and am not fully commiting to it but am not sure.

Cheers

Sam

Re: So frustrating!

Do you practice these at the range? Change distances often, maybe 10 yards at a time. Do you know what you do to change these distances for your swing?

By this Greg do you mean how to alter the distance your ball goes using the same club? If so - I SIMPLY GRIP RIGHT DOWN ON THE CLUB AND NARROW MY STANCE A BIT. My pitching wedge goes about 100 - 110 yards if I get this right I can get it to go only 80, without altering the length or speed of my swing.
