grip help

hi all
it seems the ideal interlocking grip set up is to be able to see 2 knuckles of the left hand!
is that set in stone?
how about 2.1/2 or 3 knuckles.?

Re: grip help

The secret to golf is there is no secret. You have to take what you have and work with it. In the grip for example, over the years many of us have learned how to work it and it takes a committment to practice to be able to perfect it.
You all have heard that your hands are your only link to the clubface; learn how to use the grip and you are 90% of the way to a great game.

Re: grip help

I was reading a golf lesson on the grip on line yesterday and realized for the first time just how important the grip is in relation to the clubface coming through the ball. Link provided below:

Re: grip help

the grip on there is a pretty standard one so if that is how you are gripping the club you should be in decent shape. only one thing I would like to see different but that is because I am partial to hogan and it is probably one of those things that is just a preference

Re: grip help

Ian, the mor estronger the grip, i.e., 3 4 knuckles, the more you will hit hooks. make sure when you grip the club that you check the clubface is square in your hand. This is a good habit as it ensures a square and straight impact

Ouch! Actually I knew when I made that statement that it could be misconstrued if I didn't fully explain what I meant by "my understanding" of the "relationship." How about I say a further understanding of the relationship. Now, rather than try to expound and probably just dig a deeper hole I think I'll just sit quiet .

I'm cool, I'm cool..
