Re: The Evil Divot! I remember trying to fight a slice on all my irons for the longest time - now occasionaly I only slice my driver. I think the fix was when I changed my grip. Left hand grip stays the same for me, but the right hand is different. Basically I make it so my right palm faces the sky and I just hold the club from there. This grip helps me automatically turn over rather than forcing like before.

Re: The Evil Divot! i had this exact same problem and it basically came down to my grip 90%mostly, and my stance 10%. totally agree with matt10. i think you have a weak grip. left hand is fine, but your right hand is rolled too far over. turn your right hand around so your palm is near facing teh sky. also, go to the driving range and practise hitting the ball inside out, not outside in which is what you are doing... you will also find that your old grip will promote an outside in swing path. i changed my grip to exactly this only 2 weeks ago. after 2 games i'm hitting my average scores, but i knwo it's on it's way down. feels weird at first, but just practise. best of luck.

Re: The Evil Divot! Thanks for the replies. I found the answer to my problem when I stumbled upon the following thread: http://www.golf-tuition-online.com/g...mpossible.html (Over the top - Is there one thing you can do to make it impossible?) The cure was getting my downswing on an inside out path which proved to be more difficult to understand than I thought.

Re: The Evil Divot! Hi, This problem must be the most common in golf and posted on this site. I have suggested this video lesson many times. Have a look and let me know if you think it helps you? http://www.ritson-sole.com/golftips/2005/sept05.htm Regards Brian
