hi all
i read somewhere the other day that to find your ideal stance width for hitting driver you should take a normal size step forward with your left foot and then without lifting feet from the ground spin 90 degrees to the right and then maintaining the distance between feet bring your left foot level with the right?
the stance is nowhere near shoulder width so is the advice incorrect?

I think a stance this narrow could cause a loss of balance on the through swing.
The reason we have a wider stance with the driver to acheive a wider swing arc. if the stance is to narrow then you run the risk of taking your driver back too steeply
