Re: i figured out golf.....wait no i didn't (frustrating)

well i have improved and now my techniqu doesn't seem to fluctuate as much i am hitting my 5i 200 now and my 3W is going about 250, now my only problem is trasnlating that "mat" swing to the grass. i tried hitting at a grass driving range and i started out great, but after about 50 balls i was hitting them really "fat" and low..... my divot was after the ball, but i was going really deep into the grass after hitting the ball. still going about as far but quite painfull and messy (throwing grass and dirt everywhere)
i can practice putting all day, and i know it is important, but i have no clue how to practice pitching, i don't have any videos to study of people pitching, most videos i do have (how i learned to play golf) is peoples full swing....... i find that when i try to pitch(anything non full swing) i end up decelerating through impact and hitting low thin bullet shots that go 150 yds when i need it to go 50ish. thanks for all your help.

Hi,

Have a look at this video, it has a good demonstration of the pitching technique.
