| Re: how can i flop the ball * Ball position forward...very forward. The more forward the higher it will go AND the harder you have to swing. * Open your stance up. The more open the higher it will also go. * Swing down that open stance line...not to your target. This is probably the largest mistake made. You must still being swinging where yout feet and shoulders are pointed. The body will not know any difference weather you have a SW or a DR in your hand. * The blade MUST be square to the target. So, in respect to the body's setup openess, you will see a very "open" clubface. * Angle-of-attack on the ball has to be very steep. But be careful here not to bottom out to early. Releasing the hands hard and at a great range of vertical decent is one thing...doing it under control is another. Find your maximum amount of attack while still hitting the exact spot behind the ball, and not taking a 2 foot swatch of mother earth before it.

| Re: how can i flop the ball hi i tend to set feet 40/45% open and club 20/30% open, and about 10yards left of target. so much spin on ball that the open clubface dont slice ball as you think it will, and swing down the line line your aiming not at the target. it is an easy shot once you have praticed it and you do have to hit harder than you would normaly to go that distance. bill |
