| Hi! Lately, I have starting hitting fat shots and could not understand the reason, hence the cure for it. My irons, including 3w, is making deep divots, starting about 2 inches behind the ball. Please explain and advise... Thanks |

| Re: fAt sHot - Reasons and Cure If your hitting a lot of fat shots, IMO, the first thing check is your weight shift. Often, hitting fat means your weight is stuck on your back foot. If you are shifting your weight properly to the back foot during the backswing, make sure you’re shifting it back to the front foot during the downswing. Weight shifting moves your swing center back and forward. You want to make sure your swing center gets back to the ball before you impact. A reverse pivot can also cause you to be stuck on your back foot as can diving at the ball by hitting from the top. Good luck. |
