Re: 3 wood Can you make the club sweep the grass without a ball there?

Re: 3 wood Are you even supposed to sweep the ball off the fairway? I've always been told that it is still important to hit DOWN on the ball??

Re: 3 wood hi the sole of the woods is made so it tends to slids over the grass and not dig in and its hit with more sweeping than hitting down, irons are made with a sharp edge to cut into grass and take a diviot, wood tend to spread the grass on the ground without digging in deep like an iron would. bill Last edited by bill reed; 09-01-2006 at 09:38 AM.

Re: 3 wood Put your feet closer together. Bring the club back with your shoulders as low and long as you can, where the club drags along the grass.
