| Hi, I'm a 14hc and have been playing solid golf all year. I played 18 holes last week and started to shank the ball!! Whilst on the course I could not seem to fix the problem and I only managed to hit around 10 decent shots....I'd be grateful for some advice as this is really getting to me...thanks |

| Re: Help! Remember, a shank is when you it the ball off the hosel. You really cannot shank the ball if you it it anywhere else on the club face, except I suppose if you hit is directly off the end of the toe. A quick fix on the course is to put your weight more back on your heels to prevent your weight from going foward on the downsing moving the hosel into the ball. |
