Slats

Have you got the V1 swing analysis software.

http://www.v1home.com/

I have this and there are some swing sequences on there of pros, with Aaron Baddely who I think has a good swing. You can put your own swing on the software and draw all kinds of lines to check your plane and body angles.

Re: takeaway

This one of Luke Donald should help. You can flick through frame by frame.

Re: takeaway

Great link from Brian, plus the other swings on the site.

I can see with many of the swings on the site that many players, such as Appleby and Donald, but especially Garcia, use wrist hinge in the takeaway to promote an early set. It may be worthwhile when considering this move, and the term "one piece" takeaway, that the wrists should not always be wooden in the early stages of the swing- however how early they set will be dependent on the individual player.

As I use a one plane swing, during the take away I trace a small arc with my left arm for the first 12 inches while applying slight rotation of the left forearm to keep the clubface square to the plane, when the club is in line with my feet I allow the butt end of the club to trace the extended ball to target line so that my wrists slowly and gradually cock through the swing.
