Set Up Posture

I play to a 9 Hdcp. Have a problem with coming "over the top". Right shoulder works out instead of down and under. I have big shoulders and a thick chest and weigh about 240lbs. I have found that turing my head to the inside, tilting my spine to the right (I'm right-handed), similiar to a driver setup, with all clubs, seems to fix the problem. Also have to work hard to square my knees, hips, and shoulders to the target line. Almost feel "closed". My question: Is this an acceptable fix to my problem or just a patch.

Thank you for your help!

bgsquare,

Two things to check, are you getting your weight on your left side before you swing through and is your navel stopping in any part of your through swing.

The weight shift has 2 check points, the first move on the downswing is the lifting of the right heel to the Z position. If this doesn't happen the right shoulder will come over. The other the navel must be in front of your chin about 2-4 inches at any given point of the swing. If the navel stops you will come over the top everytime.

Check these 2 things out. I'll bet it's one or a combination.
