| Hi Hemps, I can give you a check point to look at. Often with new clubs the offset may be greater than the previous set. It takes a little while to get accustom to new clubs. The check point is bring a friend with you to the range and setup to the ball. Have your friend ensure the club head is perpendicular to your stance. Have your friend adjust the club head so your can see what square is with your new clubs. You must retrain your brain to this new look. It may seem square to you and actually be closed at address. Check back and give some feedback!!!! GolfBald

| Hemps It would be the delofted club and releasing through. I think your pulling might be your left hip coming backward after or during the weight shift. The correct movement is a slight lateral movement to the left. The right side rotates around the left leg on the through swing. Think about this in relation to your swing. If the left leg sets up the swing like a gate post, it must stay still. If the post moves the gate will be allowed to swing in a different direction. That is what is happening in your swing. If the left hip turns backward, the right hip will be allowed to release an a different angle. If you fix your pivot, I think your swing will straigten out. Drill: Take a old shaft and stick it in the ground next to your left hip. When you start your weight shift, only shift laterally to the shaft. Don't let your hip go behind the shaft. At the finish, your left hip, right hip and the shaft should be in a line facing the target. Please post your progress, I hope this helps you!!! GolfBald

| Re: Irons to left driver to straight or fade HELP!!!! just a follow up..i'am slowly getting my consistency down. as last week i shot the best round of my life (93 which is sad anyways) but i did no worse than a bogey on the back nine, and if it wasn't for 4 holes on the front (which i got a 9 , 8 ,7 ,7) i would have broken 90. I fell comfortable with my irons now. even though each iron seems to be getting longer (pitching wedge went from dead on 100 last year to around 130 this year. I hope my improvement is constent as i've avg 90's this year compared to 100's last year 80's can't be that far away!!! thanks to all for the help |
