Re: A great set of Pro swings detailed for you... great link greg, thanks interesting thing about tigers swing on there is that his hips turn with his shoulders from the very beginning of his backswing, once his hips are done then the coiling between the upper and lower body begin. SOme people say to restrict hip turn Last edited by shootin4par; 11-16-2006 at 02:04 AM.

Re: A great set of Pro swings detailed for you... Really blown away by how short some of the backswings are (Jose and Love especially). The one video I took of myself a year or so ago I noticed my backswing went a shade or so beyond parallel - which robbed me of power and control. Looking at these guys I really think I should be bringing the club back wayyyyyy less than I am..... Thanks for posting this - has really made me re-think my swing!

Re: A great set of Pro swings detailed for you... Hello All: Greg thanks for the excellent link. 1) Tigers swing has changed drastically from the time this footage was taped. He now tries to keep his head more level through the swing. There is still a little dip today but far less than the dramatic 6 inch drop in this old footage. Also, from a horizontal standpoint there is little movement today although he will still rotate the chin to start the swing which is a great move. 2) These players all look different which proves there is no model swing. David Toms really emphasises the right hand drill positions. You can see his right wrist maintain that cupped look from the top all the way through impact. Also, they all have a good shoulder turn without wrapping their arms around their bodies. This maintains room to keep the club in front of the body on the downswing to avoid getting stuck and having to flip the hands which is very inconsistent. They all appear to use the legs and torso as the engine of the swing, not the arms and hands.
