| Re: ping g5 v.s i5 I have the 15's. I love them. I find it easier to work the ball with these compared to the G5's. There is less of an offset, and they look a little more traditional than the G5's. The G5's kind of look like hockey sticks. But if youe not trying to work the ball or keeo it low in the wind ( I live in Chicago) and your just looking for something easy to hit. than go with the G5's. feel is pretty much the same. Nick |

| Re: ping g5 v.s i5 hi i play with ping zings and have played pings over 25 years now and i don't notice the offset at all now. i had k1s and eye2 and you soon get use to it. i also think its easy to shape the shots you want with pings too, lot of pro's use G2 and G5 and seem to shape the shots ok, the G5 do have a lot more sole and do make the ball fly higher without any effort. i do think the G5 is a bit more forgiving too, but both are good clubs, go to a ping shop and try both out and get set up at same time for what colour clubs you need and what grip and what shaft, they all make a diffrence to the way you play with the clubs, what ever ones you get you will know you have the best if fitted too and cant blame the clubs on a bad shot only your swing. best of luck bil |
