| Re: feel or mechanics I cannot choose between mechanics and feel as a player. I have to be both. I need to have a clear idea of the golf swing in my mind before I swing, which is why I try to have an in-depth knowledge of golf mechanics. However, when I actually swing the golf club, I have to change my focus to "feel" and think mainly about rhythm and tempo and balance. Jeff. |

| Re: feel or mechanics Hey My wording might not be correct but to be a feel player their has to be mechanics for it to work. Look at Allen Doyle on the champions tour(former hockey player) I don't believe his swing is anything by the book but he has the feel and mechanics for his swing to work (He know's his swing). I know you were talking about us and not pro's on this but to feel it you have to know it. Example : Ever hit a ball or balls so pure you didn't even feel it? I have and wondered why it's not like that all the time even though the swing felt the same. Mechanics, and that is why I'm here. ![]()
