Maximizing Club Head Speed Guys: I've been trying to hold my right wrist 90 degrees on the downswing for as long as possible. As a a rule of thumb I've been releasing the club when my hands reach my left leg ( I'm right handed). I usually position the ball in the middle if my stance. My questions is, Do any of you experienced golfer use the same rule of thumb to releasing the club to get maximum club head speed? I'm curious, thanks. Robf

Re: Maximizing Club Head Speed cannot consciously try to hold the angle, it happens as a result of good mechanics elsewhere. If you dont have the lag you want then you should look at your body movement in the swing.

Re: Maximizing Club Head Speed Look at this site, it explains COAM and how the club angle is released. http://www.golf-swing-magic.com/golf...ghtheball.html
