Dilemma

Please Help.
I am hitting alot of shots fat, especially chips.
I am also hitting the ball on the the toe quite often.
I have also noticed, from looking at my swing in a mirror that my club it pointing right of the target at the top.

Im not sure if these things are related. What is your opinion? And how can I improve ball striking.

Posting a swing video will be extremely useful if you want accurate advice.

Re: Dilemma

Hi Nate,

Ball position - what is it when you are chipping?

The ball on the toe of the club - I can't be precise.

One thing I can be definate on is, if the club head is right of the target at the top of the back swing - the club head is coming on the inside.

On the takeaway make sure the club head stays in front of your hands. Do you understand? This is a cause of coming over the top. Maybe, this is a factor as to why you are hitting it on the toe of the club.

Re: Dilemma

I recall reading something in another post here that the general culprit in any fat shot is a change of spine angle during the downswing...

I'm sure there will be a drill somewhere to help with maintaining spine angle...

Cheers
