Backswing

I have been tought by mt local pro that a club head should not drop behind your head on a back swing, however from my research on the internet it seens that it can drop slightly. The alternative to letting the club drop behind my head is making my left arm parralel to the ground and my shaft perpendicular. Shuld i change my backswing or not

It's a matter of preference. Look at John Daly on one extreme and Alan Doyle from the champions tour as the other. Somewhere in your flexability range without trying to overextend the club is fine. If it's not a forced action, don't mess with it.
