I just bought Leadbetter's SwingSetter yesterday, and swung it for a little while last night. The results seemed pretty good. I learned that I was setting my wrists way too late in the backswing. I hit a few balls into my practice net after working with it, and seemed to be hitting them well. |
I love my SwingSetter. Its a great warmup club if you don't have a chance to hit balls before a round. The formed grip is nice. I like the plane pointer as well. I rehearse my "transition" over and over to make sure I am staying on plane. I also like hitting a variety of shots with it at different release settings. I will hit 1/2, 3/4 and full shots to make sure I am releasing the club at exact proper moment.
What I noticed is that I set my wrist pretty early. I need to let them a bit more relaxed and let the wrist set happen more naturally.
I've tried the Medicus and Momentus. Medicus is nice because it really keeps you on plane. Momentus is VERY heavy and helps complete the proper backswing and follow-through.
I like the Inside Approach as well. Definately helps with swing path problems.
