| Re: Push? I have that problem sometimes when I don't pay attention to my alignment. Sometimes with out knowing it, I align my self to the right of my target. It was a straight shot for my poor alignment. I hate it when the ball goes where I hit it Other issues could be too weak of a grip. Too wide of a stance, which causes a weight tranfer problem. Possibly with out knowing, you have moved tha ball back in your stance from you normal position which would cause a blocked shot. Probably more reasons, but those are my first thoughts when I hit pushed shots. GJS |

| Re: Push? Swing path could be too much in to out without squaring the clubface. Good chance you're sliding the hips laterally and getting too far ahead of the ball (or the body out-racing the hands) - very likely if the push shot is somewhat weak. So, on the backswing, get everything behind the ball (by everything, I really mean the upper body, shoulders etc). Make sure the shoulders are fully rotated, not just the arms lifting the club. Aim for a smooth weight transfer back to the left side, not a lunge. Final thing - nail it! |
