To the inside I do not know why but a while ago I started bringing the club inside. I thought I was bringing it on plane and it worked i nailed my drives straight. Then I discovered i brought it inside. Now i slice and dont hit it as far. And now when I bring it on the correct plane I come down to steeply. Does anyone know why bringing it to the inside works for me? Thank you very much in advance.

What FEELS like 'inside' is probably closer to being on plane. http://www.golfinternationalmag.co.u...nstruction.htm Click on the Swing Plane video on the bottom right. Should help you visualize the correct plane. Once you start thinking about the right concept and seeing the correct image over and over, you will be programming your mind every time you think about it. http://logicalgolf.tripod.com

| The reason for fat shots, and steepness i an off plane swing You are hitting slices because you are snatching the club to the inside excessively, more than likely you have an extremely flat swing plane, so to get the club back on plane, you have to come over the top. When this happens the shaft angle severely steepens. The reason for your slices is an out to in path with an open clubface It is possible that you're feeling of taking it inside is not what is actually happening despite what your friend says. What you feel is happenenig is as actually rarely happening. Jordy Write back with any questions Write back with your success

When I was slicing quite a bit I found that my fault was in my takeaway. What I thought was a straight back takeaway was actually way outside the target line. The takeaway can affect you whole swing so getting it right is one of the most important things in golf. Of course it my not be your problem. The thing about golf is that something is always going wrong so it's important to realise the "why" of shots so that you can work on a remedy. However, this does not gaurantee that you will always hit perfect shots; golf doesn't doesn't work like that, you just have to except the bad shots and work on the next one.

Look at it this way, if you didn't use your lower body at all, the plane line would be straight back and straight through the shoulders would rotate around your head. Since the hips go up, down then rotate this changes the upper body plane not the swing of the upper body. If you can think your swing follows the shoulder line and the lower body adjusts the angle you come into the ball you will make solid contact. GolfBald
