Off the Toe

I have just recently noticed that i have been hitting more then the odd shot off the Toe of the golf club, sending the ball right.

For a while i thought i was shanking, until i was able to see the marks on the Toe of my clubs. It seems to happen worse if i am hitting hard pitch or chip shots.

Can you please help.

Check your down-the-line spine angle - keep it constant throughout the swing.

you could also have an excessive out to in swing path. i was doing this yesterday when i went through 5 holes where i just forgot how to hit a ball and only hit my 4i 120m if i was lucky. compared to the 180 i usually hit it.

Yes it is a misconception that hitting off the toe is a out to in swing.Try to get a shallower path into the ball making the arc wider into impact.
