| Re: The Pulls Are Back! Hi RH, Nice to hear from you again, great news on your golf and low handicap, well done. I would answer yes to your question, you are probably rotating your hips/body faster than your arms and getting stuck behind your right hip. Try keeping your arms in the middle of your chest during the downswing so the clubface is sweeping around in a nice inside arc in time with your torso. |

I've always been confused about this getting stuck thing. Seriously. Maybe its so fundamental that I just can't grasp the concept. Can you elaborate on the "middle of the chest"? I think I got it, but want to be sure. I have to sync my body up better. Period. When I am smooth, I am on fire. But when I feel all quick from the top, I swing like pure ****. Thanks, |

A pull will be caused by you coming down from outside to in with the clubface square to that swing path, the pull slice will be with the same path when the clubface has been kept open. You will need to focus on the clubface approaching the ball on a nice inside arc. From there feel as if you are hitting the ball slightly right of target while closing the clubface and allowing the toe to move past the heel through impact. This should create a nice little draw shape to your shots.

Generally, I hit a draw. But funny enough, I usually end up left of my target. So I gotta get the ball started out more to the right. So maybe this little thought will help. I am so sick of cluttering my head with swing thoughts. So I take 1 or 2 to the range and focus on them. We will try this one tomorrow. Thanks!

I was in Myrtle Beach last week. Played pretty well. Hit a couple ugly shots, but all in all, drove the ball very well and hit a lot of green. I took a slightly wider than normal stance and focused on a square setup with a solid turn. Seemed to work fine, but my swing tempo was pretty solid. Didn't feel rushed at all. Had a couple drives where I could have posted my finish position for days.
