Greg Normans Secret Reviews

I got this on ebay for 9 bux and can honestly say it was the best investment ever..dont pay retail because its too expensive..

All i can say is norman was really onto something when he created this, it beats all other aids ive used, Kallasys, momentus, leadbetter(which is total ****)..I couldnt believe how well I was hitting it when i first used it on the range..

Anyway its the best thing thats happened to my golf game. All my other aids r in the garage collecting dust due to dissappintment.. but this one actually worked for me.. if u can find one on ebay definatly try it out.. without correct wrist position during the swing you can kiss everything else goodbye no matter how nice your swing is..

Re: Greg Normans Secret

Start with the straps slightly loose. Don't fully tighten the finger strap to start. Let it have a little slack. This will let you make a grip at setup without the wrist strap flexing too much.

Then, just make chip shots. Get the idea in the swing where you don't release the cupped position in the right wrist.

After that great solid contact you will get now by having the hands leading the shot, start to take 1/2 swings. This will again feel like a long chip shot. But you can now start to let the shoulders rotate through and you will feel the natural release of the club in the up/dn wrist action.

Once that sets in, take a full shot. You will be amazed at how easy the transition is from 1/2 to full. Hit about 4-5 like this.

Now, take the thing off. Immediately hit a full shot. See any difference in your ball striking from with it on vs. off? Hopefully, nothing. It should have done it's trick ingraining your right wrist's cup and the importance of maintaining that position throughout the swing.

Talking Re: Greg Normans Secret

Its actually john scheel who invented this device while he had a golf school called maximum golf in the 80's. then greg norman bought the rights for it. i know this not important if it works but its nice to give credit when its due.

Re: Greg Normans Secret

I bought one of these and it definitely helped greatly with my short game. However, I found it difficult to use for my full shots. I`m not sure it is made for full shots. It is, IMHO, a great training aid.

Re: Greg Normans Secret

Hate to be a nay-sayer, but I had very little luck with The Secret. Most flips, mine included, are timing problems and have very little to do with the hands, which are simply trying to catch up with a body that is either way out ahead or has stopped rotating. Flipping in those cases is the only way to make contact with the ball. The brain understands that and reacts accordingly. The Secret simply does not address that problem; only video will, if that.

Smile Re: Greg Normans Secret

John Schlee actually invented this product. Greg purchased it from him several years ago. John used to wrap his hands in the grip position at impact in duct tape and sleep like that hoping to burn it in permanently. This device kept the wrinkles in his left wrist at impact. This device let him practice hitting balls.

Re: Greg Normans Secret Reviews

Based on what I have read here I bought this on Ebay. I am taller than the average golfer (6'8") the secret velcro on the trigger finger is at the bottom of my finger and rubs on every shot. Besides that I have found my ball striking better with more shots coming off the sweet spot on my club. I am hoping this wil carry over from the range to the course.

Re: Greg Normans Secret Reviews

I have been using this now for a few weeks and think it is the single best aid I have everused. But I have a stupid question, I am not real strong in every rule in golf, but could the secret be used during a round of golf?

Not in competition. But practice with it on the course and at the range all you want.

Re: Greg Normans Secret Reviews

Thanks. So I guess that means you couldn't submit a score for handicap purposes using the secret.

Re: Greg Normans Secret Reviews

I am finding it is helping with all of the clubs in my bag. The contact has been great and the ball flight has been straight.
