Read and Weep

Or perhaps laugh if you are of a philosophical bent.

Last week, while playing with the club pro on a par-three course near Watford, a hole-in-one..on the very first hole, with…the very first shot she had ever hit on a golf course…ever.

There are times when you really do feel like just giving up.

Re: Read and Weep

Never ever take your non-golfing Mrs to play golf.

I've done it once on a 9 hole par 3 local to us. Never again.

She started with a 9, then went 8, 6, 5 etc etc and finished up chipping in for par on the last.

Two years on she still recalls it with a smile on her face and teases me claiming to not understand why I think golf is so difficult.

It's the only thing that's happened in our 6 years together to make me even come close to disliking her!

My Mother in Law has improved my golf no ends. I imagine her face on the ball and have never hit it so far.
