Breaking 80 for the first time...

Last saturday saw me break 80 for the first time and post a new "life time" PB...

Signed for a 5 over the card 77, my lowest 18 hole total to date.

The front 9 saw me card 1 under par 35 and included 4 birdies and only 12 putts. The back 9 of 6 over 42 was more in keeping with my previous handicap, but, I still can't help but feel I may have left a few strokes out there......

The really pleasing thing for me was that I did not post anything worse than a bogey for the entire round.

My handicap has been adjusted in from 14.6 to 12.0 and I am looking forward to my first competition round off the new mark, which will be my club's next monthly medal in 2 weeks time.

To say I am very happy would be a pretty sizeable understatement.

Cheers

Well done Scraggs! It's bloody great when it all comes together. I'm yet to crack 80, but at the moment I'm just glad to crack 50 for 9!
Don't forget to update your handicap in your profile!

Cheers

Well done Scraggs - let's hope there are plenty more of these rounds during the season.

One of my objectives for the season is also to break 80 (so far have only achieved an 81).
