| Re: Finally ...... Nice work! I've got a couple eagles in my scorebook - mostly 'home in two and one putt' types, with one hole out from the rough on a par 4. Rainbow Ridge is my Riverbend... I always seem to do OK there, and set new personal records. |

| Re: Finally ...... Congratulations! It does feel gooooood! My best personal experience (so far ) came about 2 months ago. "It's the 4th hole on the Shay Copse course at Hoebridge. This is a 180yd par 3, downhill but the green slopes opposite direction. Two viscous bunkers guard the front about 20yds apart. Cinderella Boy, coming out of nowhere. He's taking a 5 iron off the tee. He checks the light breeze, oh a lovely tee shot, straight, good height and true. It's pitching about 25yds in front of the apron, bounces twice, rolls between the bunkers, onto the green, it's going to be close.... very close... Oh MY GOD it's in the hole!!" ![]() I was ecsatatic! A hole-in-one-Eagle. Typically though, I was playing a round on my own that day. There was no-one nearby to tell or confirm it, not even on the 2 adjacent holes! Still, I know I did it and it didnt cost me a fortune in the bar! |
