First Eagle

Short par 5, 480m. Hit a solid drive down the middle leaving me 180m to a blind green, over a treacherous swamp lined by trees. I ran around to get the line to the pin, then came back to my ball, lined up and fired. I definately had the right line, because i ended up 2m from the hole. A relatively straight putt and bingo!

Thanks all the staff and members at GTO. I've learnt so much since joining the site.

P.S. In Australia, we have a little rule that anything 2 under par means your playing partners buy you a carton of beer. Pitty i wasn't in a foursome instead of three.

Re: First Eagle

Well done mate!.
I had one on a par 4 Tuesday night.
But yet to have one on a par 5.
An eagle is 2 good shots with a large slice of luck on a par 4.
Brian.
