| Re: hole in one...kind of A holed out is a holed out shot, who cares where it is or how it happened. I tell you how you could take to the course ... play for $3000! I'll tell you a great story: I was in a practice round with a mate and we always for a bit of drinking money on skins. We always double up on par 3's... We get to the 16th hole and there's about R500 ($90) looking for a owner. I send mine into the bunker at the back and my mate pull hooks his shot into the water left. I rekon I got the money won and ripped him something bad ... Next thing he pulls another ball and stuff me if he holes the damn thing for a par 3! No more smile on my face ... Naturally with broken spirit I don't get up and down and he wins the money. I have never forgiven him. He rekons he did it on purpose ... yeah right!![]()

| Re: hole in one...kind of That'll teach ya to play with scratch golfers! ![]() I'm still dying to get another birdie, let alone an ace. I've only got 2 birdies lifetime - one legitimately, and one not. My first birdie, I was lying 2, 17 yards from the pin (which was at the front of the green). I pulled the texas wedge, and figured I'd lay 'er up nice, and drop my putt for my first par. Well, fate would interfere and my ball would take a hop and carom into the cup! (I realize that this is, in fact, a legit birdie, but since it was luck and not skill, I don't really want to count it.) My 2nd was legit - dropped an iron to an elevated green (25') and dropped a 15' putt.
