best lesson

I had a putting lesson with the golf pro on tuesday, He showed me a couple of drills to do that gives you a good stroke, he also showed me how to read the putts to get a good idea on weight, and he also showed me some tech, on how to see how the ball will break.

The good news is that I played a round on thursday, and I only had 1 3 putt, and had 2 one putts, and the rest of my putts were close enough to tap in. 35 putts, that's 7 strokes lower than normal.

My round ended up 9 over par, 3 strokes better than my previous best.

Re: best lesson

Great to hear Bruce,

I goes to show that it was your short game holding you back.

Singles figures by the end of the year should be a target.

Well done

Ian.

Way to go!! That re-enforces all the talk on here saying that it's that short game where you score. Keep up the god work and watch your scores drop!

Re: best lesson

The funny thing is that I normally wouldn't practice putting, because I was so bad at it and had no idea on how to improve at it. But now I cannot wait to practice putting.
