| Re: my glory As an addendum to the 'Best Shot Ever' post we were running (which I cant seem to find now!!). I replaced my best ever shot just last night when I had 18 holes with a few colleagues. 18th hole after a big but wild drive found the heavy stuff leaving me about 180 yards from home. The ball was well buried but visible in a large clump of that lovely thick dark green grass you get. Into a slight headwind (maybe a club's worth) needing a good hole to win or at least half the match (friendly game of course but still taken seriously). Pulls the 7 wood cos its the only club that would get to the ball that hits it any distance. Basically did a bit of a Sergio and closed my eyes and hit it as hard as I can (which at 6 feet and 250 pounds is pretty hard, I admit, so its maybe not as impressive as I think) the ball popped out and with a bit of a cut on it, headed for the green (there is a 30 foot valley 50 yards short of the green to carry as well) It looked ok at least to be near the green so I was pretty pleased with the effort. Gets to the green and the ball sits 3 feet from the hole!!!!! Holed the putt for 3 (part of a 3-3-3 finish I might add) the hole and the match!!! Will live long in the memory I can tell you! D.
