My Best Round

Just shot my best round of golf ever on 9 holes. Shot a 41, I really need to thank everybody that contributed to the threads about my snap hook and grip issues.

I didn't drive the ball very good but my recovery shots and chipping were awesome. My putting was good except one hole where I 3 jacked a makeable birdie putt.

I think I shot a 42 once last year and that was my best before this. I had 1 bogey in my first 6 holes and the rest were pars. Then I went out of bounds on 7 which led to a double bogey and then bogeyed 8 and 9.
Should be able to do great in golf league the first couple weeks as I'm playing off a 19.9 handicap from last year.

Re: My Best Round

I shot a 38 a few days after this. But now my game is in really really bad shape. I shot over 50 this saturday and sunday. I think it's my tempo. This happened to me last year as well. March and April I really do well. May comes around and I start going down hill.

My back is a little sore today so I'm not doing something right, but it could be all the construction I've been helping my dad with.

I'm going to take the next couple days off and hopefully that will help.

Re: My Best Round

Hello everyone, Iīm hcp 6 and the last week I made my best rount at my local country club. I usually break the 80īs but Iīve never had broken the barrier of 72 , and thatīs what I did last week. It was a wonderful day and all the conditions were perfect in order to make a really good round. In the first 9 holes I made a 34 and then I felt the pressure in my body, so I bogied the next 2 holes and stayed keeping the par until the 18th. I birdied the last hole and finally made a round under 72. So thatīs the story of my best round and hope to continue doing rounds under par. See you friends.

sounds like a good idea. if you take time off it lets you relax and focus for the next time you play. just remember to think positive.

the reason i think that people play so badly after they play well is they hit a few good rounds and then expect this to happen all the time so when one of your 'bad' shots come along you get annoyed and dont focus. This then follows to have bad thoughts on your next shot. Your next shot goes wrong and so on.

Sounds like some nice rounds you hit. Remeber BE POSITIVE
