| Michelle Wie Before I get blasted, let me just say that I am a great Michelle Wie fan. But - I have been doing a lot of thinking... I wonder by playing in men's events and continuously missing cuts she won't get into a situation of "oh, thank G*d, she finally made a cut!" when she does eventually make a cut. That "eventually" might just take the gas out of her achievement and the press and golf world will measure it as the single success after so many failures which'll mean her accomplishment will mean very little. What do you think?

| Re: Michelle Wie hi all she can hit that ball so hard and she has such a suple body, how far will she hit it when she in her 20s, she has a few years yet to learn, she had her caddy sacked by her family and did not even tell him to his face he was sacked, her manager told him in the airport, think her family picks what tournments she plays in and she has to play, maybe like tiger she will sack them and pich her own people when she is in her 20s. and i agree with r harris that she is hot bill Last edited by bill reed; 08-12-2006 at 11:03 AM. |

| Re: Michelle Wie Best legs perhaps, but not just unable to make cuts in mens tournaments anymore. Now she's capable of ending up LAST at 15 over after 2 rounds. It's fast becoming a joke. She should get back on the ladies tour and focus. At the moment she's wasting her talent. |

| Re: Michelle Wie I might suggest that she take every opportunity thrown at her, no matter the outcome...come in last by 10 shots. It is still exposure to the men's tour and if she does it right, and look at every opportunity that Anika or the other's DIDN'T get, then that was still better then placing 5th in the women's tour event. She already has proven she can compete there, great. If the sponsers want their money with her name on a men's tour event and she turns it down because she thinks she is not doing as well as she wants...or worst yet...what YOU think about her...then she has lost. I'm prepared to see more of her againt the guys...

| Re: Michelle Wie There's no excuse for someone like MW to take the place of someone who has worked their way onto the tour. The aspect that differentiates pro golf over just about every other kind of sport is it is an absolute meritocracy. By allowing people, MW included, to play where they don't deserve to be, sullies the sports otherwise impeccable standard of excellence. Some think this is good for the game of golf. I contend they are incorrect. |
