| Re: My Best Shot Last year I was playing against my brother and the local course pro. On the par 3's we would drop a few dollars each on the tee box and closest to the pin got to pick it up. Hole 8, 189 yards. I grabbed my 5 iron and took my sweetest iron shot ever. My ball rolled to within 12 inches of the hole. I picked up my money and we all proceeded to the green where I followed that up with the worst putt ever by being too overconfident and hitting to hard. I lipped out and had to make a 4 foot putt to save par. Best drive. I was demoing a Cleveland Hi Bore. Number 1, 344 par 4. I teed the ball up and took a nice smooth swing. With roll I ended up 3 yards in front of the sprinkler head/50 yard marker. My personal best drive ever at 297 yards. That impressed me so much I ordered my very own custom fitted, 10.5 degree stiff shafted Hi Bore. Ended up getting the exact clone of the HiBore. It's called the Classic Tour Highly High Bore. Beautiful clone and after comparing it shot for shot with the Cleveland it came out even and a lot of times ahead.

| Re: My Best Shot Congrats, man! That is a huuuge drive, what a feeling. Wish I could hit the ball that far. I almost had a hole in one on Sunday, similar to the original poster - par 3, 145yards into a 10mph wind, 7iron, beautiful struck, high draw - stops 2 inches away from the hole. of course tap in birdie ![]() it'll come someday, i'm sure. |
