| Re: A terrible round BUT..... Great stuff. Despite, if we are honest, a hole in one being as much luck as judgement, it must be an amazing feeling to see the ball land and roll and drop...chipping in is a buzz but an ACE must be something else. How many people on here have managed it? Might be an interesting thread to capture the stories. |

| Re: A terrible round BUT..... I have had 3, and a Dbl-Eagle. The first was the biggest rush (as is most things you do for the first time), one was in competition, and that feels wierd, because the other guys are not as happy for you as they are anoyed at your little celebration, so you try to keep it under control. The other came when I was with my pro who didn't want to be playing in the first place that day, so when it happened, he said, "Great, let's drink!" and drove right to the bar from the 12th hole to cash in on the HIO insurance (enough to provide up to 200 drinks), but there were only 14 in there that day, so we talked the manager to letting us take 3 cases of beer home! The Dbl-Eagle was probably the best shot hitting into a group letting us play through...I picked up the ball out of the hole and said thanks, while they were still standing there stunned.
