Nice hearing from you Kev what you reckon you up to a bit of group teaching?

Cheers keith
Geography is the problem, which is why I ignored it, well apart from the fact that I live in Kingston that is ; sadly whilst I wouldn't be bothered I'm not sure the old lady would like me to invite you all over to crash on the floor.

I think the format might be a winner though, as (assuming we find a suitable venue) it gives everyone an opportunity to work within budget and time constraints.

Re: The 2nd UK GTO Open ?

Always up for a bit of group coaching
You guys go easy on me.
You all know where I get my crazy distance off the tee now. (skill 3)
Coupled with a bit of practise....(about 14 years worth)
Lets get this organised.
Any recommendations for a new putter for me?
I'm in the market to buy a new one.
Whats good at the moment.
Have a good day.

Always thought that putters are the prime example of the concept that "for any new club the perceived benefit and enjoyment lasts until the MasterCard account has been settled".

Come to think about it, much like women.

Re: The 2nd UK GTO Open ?

I am in again boys,,

Hopefully the 3SKs boys can come and do a session again for the no-believers a one night stay and 36 hole comp would be a proper open.

I suggest we all post our personal holidays on a GTO Golf Day thread and then pick two days where everyone can come, difficult I know.

Cheers

Ian.

Re: The 2nd UK GTO Open ?

Weekend fine by me, been tinkering on the net golf hotel packages with 36 hole n 1 night stay are reasonable. Though probably cheaper still if we book the course and the B&Bs seperate. Mind our society has always had problems getting tee off times for Sats n Suns

Re: The 2nd UK GTO Open ?

Guys,

Count me in.

I think it would be good to have a 'longer' event than last time; 36 holes with an overnight stay sounds good to me - will help make it worthwhile on the both the golfing front and the social side.

Better start doing some warming up to defend the title - I haven't played a round of golf since last October!

You're looking a bit peaky though, if I'm not mistaken round about June you'll be experiencing a severe two-day flu session.

Putter : Zen Oracle. Go get one. Use it to practice and then to play!!

Re: The 2nd UK GTO Open ?

Thought we might have had a better response seeing as the 1st one went so well. Might improve when Greg gets a few more details for us to look at. How's it going on that front? seems peeps deff want a 2 dayer, is it possible?
Cheers Keith

Re: The 2nd UK GTO Open ?

Hi Keith,

Hope your back is better mate, I think the problem lies in booking it, I believe last year we had to book for 16 I think and only 14 played so Greg footed the bill for the two no shows.

It may be better to arrange something at a local club, maybe Gregs home course and then there is no major outlay for costs.

They have a range there so could be good for the 3sks thing again for the non-believers....lol

Just a thought.

Ian.
