| As you guys are probably aware the journal section is currently down... don't worry I still have your entries...This is due to the fact that the journal sofware is a plugin to the fourm software and there is not currently a supported version for the new forum... The main problem here is that it is so reliant on the forum software. LowPost mentioned that we could create a journal forum and simpley have a separate thread for each users journal... This is a really great and straight forward idea Either we do something like this with a forum or I was thinking of maybe creating a separate application that will record practice notes, round notes and even link to swing videos/photos etc... nothing too complicated to begin with but something that can be built upon... By developing this small app in house I can cutomize it for you guys more easily and with the knowledge that it wont be reliant on the forum software to run... I really like this idea of being able to keep track of practice and round info and getting stats back... I know that there was a thread a while back around other third-party apps that do this... but perhaps I can look into creating something a little more specific for our members needs... just ideas... Please let me know your thoughts and ideas around this here

| Re: GTO Journal Well, we could go the forum route as an intermediary method until you can develop the helper app. I like the idea of having a helper app available, but I gotta say I sort of committed to keeping notes after range trips and rounds. I want the journal. I need the journal! ![]() At this point, I'll simply continue to abuse the golf discussions forum. ![]() |
