Leadbetter Laser guide

I have been reading about the Leadbetter Swingsetter; also the Laser Guide. The Laser guide looks interesting. I know it's 4-5 years old. Has anybody had any experience with it? I know I have a swing plane problem!!

Thanks

Re: Leadbetter Laser guide

Hi Lefty
When you say you a swingplane problem, is it too steep or too flat?

If you plane is too flat , try the wall drill. Just take your normal set up a couple of inches from a wall ( don;t let your butt touch the wall ) , now take a back swing without hitting the wall , slowly at first, repeat until you get the feel for the correct plane.

if your plane is too steep , aim to swing the club just over the outside of your left shoulder on the backswing. again, repeat until you get a feel fot the correct plane.

REMEMBER TO ALWAYS MAINTAIN YOUR SPINE ANGLE THROUGHOUT THE SWING

hope this is of help

Re: Leadbetter Laser guide

Thanks for replying; it has turned into a FLAT swing!! I hit a ton of thin shots. I was tinkering around with a tee stuck in the end of my grip last night and it seemed to help tremendous. So, I thought about the Laser Guide.

Re: Leadbetter Laser guide

Another good drill to help with your swingplane :Place a tee peg into the butt of the club. Take your normal set up and swing slowly to the halfway back position . Your right arm should be parallel to the floor and the tee peg should be pointing to just inside the ball to target line..now you are on perfect plane , you just have to turn your shoulders to complete your backswing......

Re: Leadbetter Laser guide

Thanks Aftford, when I get home I am going to hit some balls with a tee in the butt of my grip. That should basically simulate the laser anyway. Always good to run into a fellow leftie (there's not many of us!).
