Did you ever get that big box of heads I sent down? IIRC, it was right around the time you were being evac'd.

Re: Frustrating search for distance

Nope, I think many boxes were lost about that time. The post office was a mess. I did get all the kid sfitted with new clubs. Folks were very generous with their old stuff.

Many golf courses are still closed. New Orleans City Park - 3 courses. Ponchatrain Park where I taught the kids looks like a weed field. The Rabbit and Gator course at Eastover not reopening - someone stole 3,000 range balls. The had 9 holes open for a while and threw in the towel.

But, we are recovering 3 years later!

Re: Frustrating search for distance

hi GB
sounds like you have been through hell. over her in Scotland you don't realize how bad it was and that you would still be recovering form it 3 years later.
what you have said sort of makes me understand what i nightmare it must of have and not just at the time but in the years that followed.
good to hear that your are starting to see the light at the end of that dark tunnel.
best of luck
bill

Unhappy Re: Frustrating search for distance

Bill,

Most folks don't understand that many people haven't got their road-home money. They just approved the plan for how much people must raise their houses to meet the new code. I've seen some houses lifted 15 ft on a new foundation. Maybe I'll post some pictures in the gallery.
