| (Keep in mind I'm a lefty) Alright heres the problem, when the ball goes straight it soars very high, perhaps too high. But, when I hook it or pull it which is most of the time it has a nice height. The farther to my left the ball goes, the higher it goes. How do stop hooking or pulling the ball but keep the trajectory. ![]() |

| Re: Pulling/Hooking the Driver Hooking is caused by having the hands releasing before the hips, shoulders and arms have made their full rotation before impact. This gets the club face in a closed position causing the lower flight and hook spin you are seeing. I bet you are using your hands incorrectly (about 90% of all amature players do this).
