Re: Lack of power and consistency in my driver My only advice is to keep working on your swing with all the drills you have seen on this site. As you get older and stronger, the distance will come. Right now, worry about being deadly accurate and knocking off some strokes by improving your putting and chipping to make up some shots on the scorecard.

Re: Lack of power and consistency in my driver Try choking down slightly on your driver so it's the same length as your 3 wood. My guess is your not hitting it in the sweet spot and that's leading to your inconsistency and lack of length. If that works, you may consider having the shaft shortened. -Dan

Re: Lack of power and consistency in my driver Before we or I can offer any advice we need to know your typical ball flight. What is it? A fade (Curves from left to right) A draw (Curves from right to left) Is your ball flight low or high, maybe in the middle? Where is the ball being positioned? It should be placed just off of your left heel(under a shirt logo) How far do you hit your 3 wood and driver? What is the difference in distance between the two(3 Wood and driver)? If I know this information I will be able to help you

Re: Lack of power and consistency in my driver I'll hazard a guess here. Lack of distance and consistency may mean you are moving around, swaying and collapsing your swing. While the swing is not static, being too ungrounded leads to swaying, losing coil and not staying down and in the shot. Pulling up, reverse pivot, and hitting over the top all come from a poor concept of the swing. You may want to go to a pro and get him to teach you the fundamentals, take notes and practice them often. Things like the grip, address, weight distribution, and body alignment are easy to practice and will pay off big time in your results.
