| Re: Why can't I hit the ball far? Well, the one I got was from here. That doesn't help people from outside North America, though. There's another one - a red one - that has a tempo timer (it came out 2 weeks after I bought the blue one). I've seen them on eBay - but wouldn't know if they're available on non-N. America eBay sites. That said, I'm willing to sell mine ![]() |

| Re: Why can't I hit the ball far? Thanks for all the suggestions. I actually played golf today. I shot a 112 .I noticed that whenever the ball didn't go very far, even with the irons, I could feel it as soon as it left the club. Whenever I hit the ball on the sweetspot I could also feel it. I had trouble getting the ball airborne with my driver. It is a 10.5 degree loft Wilson Fatboy. How can I adjust my swing to get under the ball more? Also, I need some new irons because my old ones are cut down and I have now outgrown them. What do you reccomend for around $200 for a set? I'm thinking Adams Tight Lies GT. They can be found on ebay for cheap. |

First off, where is the ball in your stance? The ball should be positioned inside your left heel when hitting your driver to ensure you are not striking down on the ball as well as your driver in longer than the rest of your clubs so it needs a bit longer time to unload. If you ball position is correct, then I would suggest that you probably have a slide in your swing. As you are sliding towards your target, you are essentially moving the bottom of your swing towards the target. Depending on the severity of the slide, the bottom you your swing could possibly move as far as the outside your front foot.

As for nice used irons, you might be able to pick up a set of Ping Eye 2's if you watch eBay carefully. The Maxfli Revolutions can also be had for a couple hundred bucks and are defintely quality sticks. |

I don't really like the heads I have now anyways, so I'd just assume get a new set. |

| Re: Why can't I hit the ball far? Well, I've got a Table Drill that is useful in detecting slides... |

| Re: Why can't I hit the ball far? ccould be topping it, big slices, high and short depends on what else you are doing to try and compensate for it (swing plane, angle, club face, ball position, etc) more than likely you will have a different result from each shot with ****py contact. |
