personall best

This thread is sparked by what happened today, I had my personall best drive. We played a four man scramble and that is so much fun, we had a good golfer hitting fairways most everytime before me so I could just go for it, it was so much fun. I drove a 90* 400 yard green, ok I was ten feet off the green but past pin high, drove 30 yards over the green on a 270 yarder that was 40 feet uphill, but my best, and now my personall best, was on a STRAIGHT par 5 which was 525, slightly downhill, ground kind of hard, I hit driver 8 iron. drive was right at 365. Playing in a scramble is so much fun, we shot 17 under and won by 3 strokes

Re: personall best

LOL, scrambles are that much fun! My personal best would have to be (and I've done it a few times) on a straight par 4 about 410 metres (451 yards roughly) and I've driven it 50 metres short of the green. That's about 360 metres (396 yards). And yes I did get a little bit of run.
