dropping hands into the slot

I have been having a problem that i feel is getting much better with casting the club on my downswing....from my swing analysis that i got when you drop your hands into the slot your right elbow drops down into your right hip(not a jamming motion though)......I also had/have a problem with my weight being on my front foot on my backswing(figured out how to transfer and get behind the ball)......

My question is when you drop your hands into the slot is the weight supposed to be on your right side?

please give a drill to help with solution also

Re: dropping hands into the slot

No, on your left. You should have already turned your hips open by that point...so drill this by setting your feet close together and point your toes 45 degrees open and then swing 1/2. THis get's you this feeling down having the hands in this "slot" and fully rotated through.
