| Re: how far? Like others said it doesn't matter how far you hit it as long as it goes straight and you enjoy playing. My son is 10 and his 8 yr old brother can out drive him with the driver. My 8 yr old has a better swing because he focused on hitting his irons more than his driver to get his swing grooved in. I wouldn't worry too much about distance just make sure you can hit it straight all the time. As you get older you will hit it farther but if your swing is not right you will hit it farther to the left or right not down the fairway.

100 lbs * 2 = 200 yds (sounds reasonable) 150 lbs * 2 = 300 yds (sounds like some of the skinny tour players) Me: 300 lbs * 2 = 600 yds !!!!! About 300-330yds too long !!!! ![]() |
