Re: how far?

does not matter how far but if its where you are aiming. best way to hit far is to swing at 90% and make sure you hit ball with sweet spot, you allways have the 10% when you really want to blast one off the tee

Re: how far?

200 yards is fine but dont be mad at yourself if its not 200 yards, the average grown golfer doesnt hit the ball 200 yards(they swear up and down they do and might think they do but they dont)

Re: how far?

hey dont worry about distance that will come with age. just get a good trusty swing together that you can repeat easly. i was hitin around 200m but the driver was my best club.

Re: how far?

Like others said it doesn't matter how far you hit it as long as it goes straight and you enjoy playing. My son is 10 and his 8 yr old brother can out drive him with the driver. My 8 yr old has a better swing because he focused on hitting his irons more than his driver to get his swing grooved in.

I wouldn't worry too much about distance just make sure you can hit it straight all the time. As you get older you will hit it farther but if your swing is not right you will hit it farther to the left or right not down the fairway.

lbs? kg? stone?

100 lbs * 2 = 200 yds (sounds reasonable)

150 lbs * 2 = 300 yds (sounds like some of the skinny tour players)

Me:
300 lbs * 2 = 600 yds !!!!! About 300-330yds too long !!!!

Re: how far?

I weigh 225 lbs.

225 x 2.2 = 495 yds
If I could hit that far I would win all my middle school tournaments!!!

Liam, past 2 years ive added 60 yards to my game. You will find when you reach 14 you will be pileing on 10 yards weekly serious its scary.

I think I need to know your swing speed, and your current loft. Your angle of attack would be helpful, too.
