Need more distance!
Hi everyone,

I just started playing golf this year (loving every bit of it) and am hoping to improve my driving game. Usually my GIR is very high except I am 20-30ft away from the hole. So I'm hoping to get my driver distance up so I can have a 8i,9i or wedge to the green instead of a 6, 7i. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, I went to purchase a driver today and got some stats on my swing. Clubhead speed-83mph
Ball speed- 126mph
Carry distance- 205yards

I'm sorry ... but a member called MSchumacher that needs to improve his driving game, that's just hilarious!

Welcome to GTO, Schumi, I'm a big fan!

Regarding your driving distance, it looks like you have room for improvement in your clubhead speed. Perhaps you aren't using all of your rotational energy, but it's really hard to tell without seeing your swing.

I can suggest getting a lesson with a pro. Small adjustments kan yield impressive improvements.
