hi. I used to hit avg of 280-290 metres off the tee. Using a Taylormade r540xd. I then went and spent the majority of my practice time on my short game. And now have lost distance on my drives and slice my 3 wood, 5 wood and 3 iron very badly. Drive still goes dead straight though..????????????????????? Can anyone help.?? |

| Re: lost driving distance I don't think I would do anything different at this point except put more practice into your long game. If you were hitting that well before, it should come back. Was there anything different you were incorporating into your short game swing that could be the culprit. As always, review the basics for the longer clubs, grip - make sure it is strong enough, alignment - make sure you are square to the target, and stance - ball should be in line with the left armpit - more foward than for the short irons. Hope this helps. |
