slicing a new driver i recently upgraded from a taylor made 860 burner (i think its called a 460 burner in the US) to a taylor made r7 460. my old club had a 9.5 degree and a regular shaft, the new one is also 9.5 with a regular RE-AX mid tip. i find that i now widly slice my shots, whereas before i did not. is this someting that is common to buying a new driver? and do i just have to stick with it in the hope that it sorts itself out? i don't want to mess around with the weights in the club as i would rather fix the problem then cover it up with an easy fix. the rest of my clubs work fine. what's going wrong? any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you

Re: slicing a new driver The only reason you slice is because your club face is open. Concentrate on closing the club face at impact and the slice should stop. You need to then work on an in to out swing path eg :/ instead of :\ (the dots are your feet, the line is the direction of the club swinging). Alternatively, try a stiffer flex shaft. Might help.

Re: slicing a new driver I daresay that your re-ax shaft is playing weak. Try going to the stiff Re-ax. Better yet, take it to a club builder, and have him test it.
