Re: I lost 100 yrds

Has your ball flight changed? I mean besides being shorter. You probably arent hitting the ball squarly now. I lost 50 yards or so after I didnt play for a month mainly because my swing went in the toilet. I feel your pain. It sucks to lose yardage. Im having to hit 5 irons into greens instead of mids or wedges. The game is not as fun and it rattles your head. Anyways.....get your swing lined out and your yardage will come back.

So within a few months of starting the game you were driving over 300yrds?
And now you cant get it past 200 yrds?
I'd suggest that whatever you were using to measure the original drives has just fixed itself!

Have a look at this: PGA Tour Statistics
That put you at around 8th in the world for driving distance when you started playing golf. Pretty good eh!

Was the course all steeply down hill with the wind behind it

my ball flight has gone from being stright to straight then it fades away but not to severe but that many people have tried to alter my swing because i had alot of movement in the lower part of my body that i can't seem to get my old swing back even if it looked like elvis was playig .........thanks for the response

Re: I lost 100 yrds

Hi Yurgie,

It would help if you could post a video so we can see whats happening.

You mention a lot of movement in your lower body, are you having problems hitting behind the ball with your irons or hitting the ground with your driver?

Re: I lost 100 yrds

Hi Yurgie,

If you hit the floor hard, your posture could be the problem, you are tilting down on your downswing. Or your swing arc is getting steep, like those of Iron play instead of a wide takeaway & wide shallow downswing of a driver.

If you are only lightly touching the floor on the downswing, it could be your ball position in relation to your stand has change, just a slight fraction can make a different.
