Push/Fading my Driver! Been hitting my driver well at the range lately. That is until this week. All of a sudden I'm pushing the ball to the right (right handed)and it's fading slightly (usually into the woods). I've been really trying to swing from the inside out lately. This usually resulted in a straight, long shot. But this push/fade thing is going long, but way right. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong? Thanks for any help!

Re: Push/Fading my Driver! That's exactly what I was thinking. I tried to fix it by trying to close the club, and ended up snap hooking a few shots. But I may have been overcompensating so I didn't go right again. Another thought I had was that I was over exagerating my inside/out swing. For example, if my target line made a straight line on a clock, it would go from 6 to 12. And I try to make my swing go from 7 to 1. What would happen if I swung from 7 to like 2? Would that cause a push/fade? Thanks for the reponse!

Re: Push/Fading my Driver! I was reading your post and recently shared the same ball flight/direction issues as you. When I finally got with my pro he reminded me that the golf swing is an arch. When you swing from the inside through contact you eventually have to get back to the inside again (past impact). I was so focused on swinging inside out that the path of the club was not returning along its natural arch. In doing this I would push right or compensate with a wrist flip and hook the ball. Bring your club back to the inside post impact and you will straighten right up. Hope it helps
